It’s no secret NYC is one of my FAVORITE places in the world. My wife Kathrine and I even got engaged there! When Kenny and Rachael reached out to me about shooting their wedding later this year at Prospect House outside Austin, I was really excited as it’s one of my favorite venues! When we got to talking about engagements Brooklyn came up as that’s where they currently live. Uhm, yeh, I can come shoot in Brooklyn! We had a great time exploring some of their favorite parts of Brooklyn, and ended the session at the Brooklyn Bridge where Kenny had previously proposed to Rachael. I had a great time shooting engagements with Amy & Ross! We shot over 4th of July weekend at Zilker Park and it was definitely 100 degrees outside, even at sunset. They were such troopers to put up with the heat. Can't wait to shoot their wedding in Houston in a few months!

What a fun shoot this was with David and Rissa! We had the chance to do a little re-creation of the day David proposed. From there we did a little shoot inspired by their love of Star Wars where the reflection pond at Hermann Park gave us a spacey sort of vibe. Check em out!

I had the pleasure of shooting engagements with my sister Kim and her fiance Michael recently. We decided to head down to Hermann Park to start, and then over to the River Oaks District. Shooting engagements is always an intimate process. It takes a high level of trust and vulnerability from your couple to capture a real and genuine moment. It can hard with a couple you don't know very well, but when it's your little sister and its even more difficult haha! I hope you enjoy!

This shoot was just a BLAST! Ok, waking up at 5:45am on a Saturday wasn't, but man was it worth it! I've known Eric for a long time, so I was thrilled that he and Annam wanted me to shoot their engagements and wedding next year. Honestly, we didn't have a specific game plan for this shoot, I just knew I wanted it to be at dawn and they liked the idea of lakes/woods. So we settled on making a drive out to Sam Houston National Forest. We didn't even stop at the ranger station to get a map or anything. With a little bit of luck we were able to stumble upon some amazing locations and caught the morning mist and sunrise from the East. It always blows me away that driving just an hour outside of Houston it feels like you're a million miles away from civilization. It was perfect. Check it out!

I KNOW! Aren't they just the cutest?! Had such a fun time sharing my morning with Drew and Angela at the CAMH and the MFAH. From there we made our way to The West Studios to shoot a recreation of their first date where Drew had hung balloons everywhere at different heights on their first date! How cute is that? I just adore them and can't wait to shoot their wedding!

I've known Lance for a couple of years now as he is my wife Kathrine's uncle. He is an amazing chef(was even on an episode of Iron Chef!) and all round great guy. I was really excited when he and his fiancé Erin called me up to say they were coming down to visit Houston and wanted me to shoot their engagements! They were looking for something classy and sophisticated, but with a bit of an edge to it. When I first chatted with Meg and Blake over Skype a few months before our shoot I could tell we were probably going to click. After finally getting to meet them in person I was totally right. These are my people right here! I love when I can get nerd out on some pop culture, and sit tight while my clients take a second to catch a couple of Pokemon. They even took me to brunch after our shoot, and I went splittsies on some food with Blake, I mean how often does that happen the first time you meet someone in person? Haha, it was great!
